专业介绍——Postgraduate Programs Introduction
CHINA BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
(2 SEMESTERS, 60 CREDITS, INTERNSHIP IN EUROPE OR CHINA OR RESEARCH PROJECT)
The postgraduate in China Business Development prepares settled or future professionals for every aspect of doing business with China. Courses of academic quality are enriched by hands-on input from practitioners. Participants will be offered an all-round training, including: basic Chinese, intercultural management, China’s economic context, exporting to China, purchasing in China, investing in China. Gaining professional experience will be guaranteed by networking sessions and the possibility to follow an internship or conducting a research project.
CONTEMPORARY CHINA STUDIES
(2 SEMESTERS, 60 CREDITS, INCLUDES INTERNSHIP OR RESEARCH PROJECT)
The postgraduate in Contemporary China Studies teaches you about contemporary China in all its constituting segments: economy, law, domestic politics, international relations, society, culture and language. This training is an excellent basis for those wishing to work and live in China. Generally speaking, the postgraduate in Contemporary China Studies is a valuable asset for anyone involved with what is going on in China. Networking sessions and the possibility to take an internship or conduct a research project enables the participants to gain professional experience.
CHINESE LAW
(2 SEMESTERS, 60 CREDITS)
The postgraduate in Chinese Law is rather unique in Europe. It aims at offering an in-depth understanding and knowledge of Chinese law. Therefore it starts with explaining China’s law system: Legal development in China, Principles of Chinese law, Legal institutional framework, Dispute settlement. Includes subjects on China's economy, China's Law System, Contract Law, Company Law, Economic and Financial Law, Commercial Law, Investment Legislation, Tax Law, Intellectual Property Law, Customs Law, Environmental Law
CONTEMPORARY CHINESE ART
(2 SEMESTERS, 60 CREDITS)
The postgraduate in Contemporary Chinese Art involves the study of the various fields of China’s contemporary art scene: Chinese film, Chinese literature, Chinese painting and conceptual art, Chinese architecture, icons in Chinese art, images of China in the West and of the West in China, printed media, popular culture. For a broader understanding of Chinese art, the training includes a course of intercultural management and basic Chinese. Finally, courses on Gallery and Exhibition Management and Investing in Art are included from a practical and professional point of view.
INVESTING IN THE EU – BENELUX AS A GATEWAY. FOCUS ON CHINA
(2 SEMESTERS, 60 CREDITS)
By offering the postgraduate ‘Invest in the EU – Benelux as a gateway’, BICCS wants to cram bachelors, masters, researchers and employees for successfully managing inward investment projects in the EU. Particular attention is paid to the situation of Chinese companies considering an EU-investment. Participants will be taught on all required legal steps. Furthermore, financial topics will be dealt with as well.

布鲁塞尔当代中国研究所（BICCS）是中国人民大学（RUC）与布鲁塞尔自由大学（VUB）在欧洲合作经营的集科研、教育、培训为一体的中欧学术合作平台，“投资欧洲”是其最新推出的多个研究生项目之一。中国人民大学与布鲁塞尔自由大学两校的学术实力为确保该项目质量得到保障提供了坚实的基础，而来自享誉欧洲的国际性法律服务机构——隆路律师事务所的全力参与，则使该项目所提供的专业知识具有明确的市场导向和实践价值。
课程内容围绕以下主题：

2.中国对外投资——政策与实务
3.对欧出口贸易
4.国际贸易政策与实务——贸易壁垒、关税与反倾销
5.创业欧洲
6.荷-比-卢公司法
7.融资欧洲：贷款与担保
8.雇佣法与社会保障制度—— 荷-比-卢 三国法律的异同
9.知识产权
10.环境法
11.税务筹划（香港-比利时避免双重征税协定）
本项目全程学制一年，教学实行弹性模块制，即可以按照自身需要选择其中部分课程，并按所选学分支付学费。
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. University degree (master or bachelor).
2. A good command of English is required. This is covered by a proof of having graduated in an English-taught programme or a copy of a ‘Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum result of 550.
3. New procedure for Chinese students: From the academic year 2007-2008 onwards all students from the P.R. China will have to obtain a certificate of academic screening issued by the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS) of the German Embassy in Beijing before being allowed to enrol at any higher education institution, language course or other preparatory course in Flanders.
Please note that the APS certificate is also required for obtaining a student visa to Belgium. Students planning to study in Flanders in 2007-2008 are advised to contact the Academic Evaluation Centre in Beijing, e-mail: info@aps.org.cn as soon as possible in order to make the necessary appointments and this before applying for a visa. Gustaaf Geeraerts is Professor of International Relations. He is also the Dean of the Faculty of Economic, Social and Political Sciences & Solvay Business School and the Director of the Brussels Institute of Contemporary China Studies (BICCS), both at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Besides that he holds an Honorary Professorship at the University of Kent at Canterbury, and is an Editorial Board member of Global Society. 布鲁塞尔当代中国研究所研究员兼商务拓展主任 Dr. Gunter Gaublomme
Gunter Gaublomme started his career at the Asia Desk of Export Vlaanderen (currently Flanders Investment and Trade). After two years he became the Area Manager Asia – a position he held for three years. After being selected for the Business in Asia Programme of the Prince Albert Fund (managed by the King Baudouin Foundation) he became Investment Attaché at the Consulate General of Belgium in Hong Kong. Shortly after returning to Belgium Gunter worked as Manager International Entrepreneurship at Voka – East Flanders Chamber of Commerce.
布鲁塞尔当代中国研究所研究员 Jeanne Boden
Jeanne Boden is a Sinologist with almost 20 years of experience who is regularly called upon to offer her expertise as a translator, consultant and academic in numerous areas related to China. She has translated the works of notable Chinese writers from Chinese into Dutch and has an extensive portfolio of articles and magazine credits. She lectured at universities in the Benelux and internationally at the South West University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu China. Her work as a lecturer also encompasses the world of corporate business, giving lectures at the Belgian Embassy in Beijing, Flanders Trade Link China Business Club, FIT, BenCham Shanghai and at a variety of international congresses. She has established "ChinaConduct", an organization specializing in cross-cultural management (http://www.chinaconduct.com).
